The hunt

Apartment hunting? Officially, completely getting on my nerves. No amount of hounding is getting me anywhere. I saw an ad for an apartment that sounded promising. It had been posted three hours ago. I called them. They already have a few applications in from this afternoon. The caretaker told me not to bother.

Sick and tired of stupid apartments.

I’m going in at 8:30 tomorrow morning to apply for an apartment I saw tonight.

It’s stressful and awful knowing that I still probably won’t get it.

Nooo!
I don’t wanna graduate from school, find a job in Winnipeg and then find out I have to live in my car and shower at random swimming pools! Maybe in January apartment shopping will be better???

Katie, unfortunately I’ve been told that in January NO ONE moves so there’s even less of a chance of finding something. After all, who wants to have their furniture outside in a blizzard?

Just think Aaron, if it wasn’t for my industry’s obsession with single family dwellings and the greater profit they garner us, you’d have so many more rental options.

Though it’s not really our fault, it’s the city planners. We just build what they’ll let us.

I do know of some great condos going up on waterfront if you’ve got a spare two grand a month or so.

oh yeah. right. Forgot about the whole “it’s uber cold in Winnipeg” thing.
It seems that now is the time to re-evaluate my goals.

Njero, start kicking bums and taking names. It’s horrifying that we have a city where one bus fare won’t last you from one end of the city to another (because transfers expire after an hour, and some trips take more than that).
There’s so much space UP. Why do we keep building out?

I just applied for an apartment this morning and hopefully beat the other girl who liked it. :) Apparently my sister’s friends got mugged in the park next door to it. But man, I can live next to a PARK!

You must seek out to destroy all universities. Then the students won’t need the housing you can afford!

I called a Craigslist ad that was posted at 8:30 PM last night at about 10:30 this morning. He said he already has six people looking at it so don’t bother.

Sigh.
