The Joyous Days of Gilbetron: An Orientation
The Joyous Days of Gilbetron, a 15-day celebration, were first held on December 10, 2002, over a year after the titular hero, Gilbetron, was first conceived. The holiday was designed to further extrapolate the character’s stories and spread those tales to the masses through a series of excerpts from The Gilbetron Tales.
Since those first 15 days, now five years ago, the Joyous Days have taken on a life of their own. Still centered around the Gilbetron Tales, the stories have grown more serialized and complex over time, leading the House of Gilbetron to more formally codefy them.
Starting in July of 2007, the House of Gilbetron began hosting a secondary celebration, a summer companion to the Joyous Days. This holiday is known as The Benevolent Summer Days of Telematrice. The character of Telematrice is the leading lady of The Gilbetron Tales and has generated as much interest as Gilbetron himself.
